Privacy & cookies

The Infinity is a reading and learning site. There is no account, no login, and no profile. This page lists everything that is collected while you read, who collects it, and how to stop it.
What we collect ourselves
Nothing that identifies you. The site stores no server-side visitor records of its own. Two things are kept in your own browser and never sent to us:
- Simulator progress — when you complete a step in an interactive lab, the result is written to your browser's local storage under the key
ti:sim-progress:v1. Clearing your browser data removes it. - Interface preferences — small values such as a dismissed banner.
Analytics
Google Analytics 4 (property G-4XJBKG41X8), loaded through Google Tag Manager, records page views, referrers, approximate location derived from IP, and device type. It is used to see which articles and labs get read. Google's own handling of that data is described in Google's privacy policy. You can block it with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on or any content blocker.
Advertising
The site is funded by advertising. Google AdSense (publisher ID ca-pub-2100028715590566) and its partners serve those ads and may set cookies or read device identifiers to measure and personalise them. We do not receive your identity from them and we do not sell any data.
- Choose what ads you see, or turn off personalisation, at Google My Ad Center.
- Third-party vendors and ad networks are listed in how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
- Ads are marked Sponsored where they appear inside content, so they are distinguishable from articles.
Newsletter
If you subscribe, your email address is stored by EmailOctopus, which sends the weekly email on our behalf. It is used for that email and nothing else, it is not shared, and every issue carries a one-click unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing deletes you from the list.
Embedded content
Articles can embed material from other sites — video players, code sandboxes, repository cards. Those providers see your request the same way they would if you visited them directly, and their own policies apply.
Your choices
- Block cookies for this site in your browser settings.
- Use a content blocker: the site remains fully readable without ads or analytics.
- Ask what we hold about you, or ask for it to be deleted, by emailing [email protected]. In practice this is limited to your newsletter subscription, since nothing else is tied to a person.
Changes
If a new service is added to the site, it gets a line on this page and the date above changes.
